HyperTempo App Terms of Use

Last updated: 10 October 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and us when you use the HyperTempo app. Please read them with our privacy policy, which explains what we do with your data.

By creating an account or using HyperTempo, you agree to these terms. If you don't, please don't use the app.

Who we are

HyperTempo is a training app for lifting and running, provided by [George Woodman, a sole trader based in the UK] ("HyperTempo", "we" or "us"). You can reach us at [email protected], or write to us at [postal address].

The beta

HyperTempo is in beta. That means:

  • It's free while the beta lasts.
  • It's still being built. Features will change, move or go, and new ones will arrive.
  • It may have bugs, and may sometimes get things wrong. Please use your own judgement, and tell us when something isn't right (Help and feedback in the app).

If you join during the beta, HyperTempo's paid version is free for you for a year from the day your account is made, as its paid features arrive. A few testers we choose get it free for life. This is recorded on your account, and Settings → Account shows it. It's personal to you, so it can't be transferred or swapped for money, and it covers the paid version for as long as we offer it.

Your account

  • You need to be [16] or over to use HyperTempo.
  • Give us accurate details, and keep your sign-in safe. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
  • An account is for one person, for their own training.
  • If you sign in with Google or Apple, their terms and privacy policies also apply to that sign-in.

Your health and safety

HyperTempo gives you a training plan and guidance. It isn't medical advice, and the plan is a guide: you decide what you do.

  • Check with a doctor or physiotherapist before you start, especially if you have a health condition or an injury, are pregnant or have recently given birth, or haven't trained for a while.
  • Listen to your body. Stop if you feel pain, dizziness, chest pain or shortness of breath, and get help.
  • The weights, paces, distances and times in the app are suggestions, based on what you've told it. Train within your limits, warm up, use equipment safely, and use a spotter when you need one.
  • Injury logging and recovery mode help you train around a niggle. They don't diagnose or treat anything, and the app will always suggest seeing a specialist. If something hurts, get it checked.
  • In an emergency, call 999 (or your local emergency number).

Your content and data

What you put into HyperTempo is yours: your workouts, runs, routines, notes and settings. You allow us to store and use it to run the app for you, as our privacy policy describes.

  • You can export a copy of your data at any time, in Settings → Account → Export my data.
  • You can delete your account at any time, in Settings → Account → Delete account. This deletes your data straight away. Copies in our encrypted backups expire within 3 months.

If you send us feedback or ideas, we can use them to improve HyperTempo, without owing you anything for them.

Using HyperTempo fairly

Please don't:

  • use HyperTempo for anything unlawful
  • try to get into anyone else's account or data, or into our systems beyond what the app lets you do
  • copy, change, sell or take apart the app, except where the law allows it
  • overload, disrupt or scrape HyperTempo, or upload anything harmful, such as malware

Our app and content

The app, its design, and its training plans, routines and words belong to us or the people we license them from. We give you a personal licence to use the app for your own training while you have an account. You can't transfer this licence, and the app isn't for commercial use.

You get the app from the App Store or Google Play, and their terms apply to it too, as well as these.

Events and other brands

HyperTempo can plan your training for events such as Hyrox, DEKA, Spartan and Tough Mudder. These names are trademarks of their owners. HyperTempo isn't affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by any of them.

Paid features

HyperTempo is free during the beta. When paid features arrive, we'll update these terms first, and show you the prices in the app before you buy anything.

Subscriptions will be bought through the App Store or Google Play, under their terms, and managed or cancelled there. Deleting your HyperTempo account doesn't cancel a subscription with them, so please cancel it in your store first.

Changes to HyperTempo and these terms

We work to keep HyperTempo running well, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change, pause or stop features, or HyperTempo itself. If we stop HyperTempo, we'll give you reasonable notice and a chance to export your data.

We may update these terms, for example when the app changes or the law does. If a change matters to you, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you don't agree with it, you can stop using HyperTempo and delete your account.

Ending your use

You can stop using HyperTempo and delete your account at any time.

We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if the law requires us to. We'll tell you why, unless the law doesn't allow us to.

Our responsibility to you

If we break these terms, or don't use reasonable care and skill, we're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that's a foreseeable result. We're not responsible for loss or damage that isn't foreseeable.

Training carries a risk of injury. Our plans are general guidance, and we can't see how you train, so please train within your limits, as above.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.

HyperTempo is for personal use, so we're not responsible for any business losses.

These terms don't affect your legal rights as a consumer.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can deal with any dispute. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim there.

If you have a problem, please email [email protected] first, and we'll do our best to put it right.
